Abstract
In this presentation, I will give an overview of existing papers and
results regarding the topic quasistatic perfect plasticity. The main
papers I consider are
Suquet, Pierre-Marie. ``Sur les équations de la plasticité: existence et
régularité des solutions.`` J. Mécanique 20.1 (1981): 3-39,
Dal Maso, Gianni, Antonio DeSimone, and Maria Giovanna Mora. ``Quasistatic
evolution problems for linearly elasticperfectly plastic materials.``
Archive for rational mechanics and analysis 180.2 (2006): 237-291,
and
Bartels, Sören, Alexander Mielke, and Tomá Roubíček. ``Quasi-static
small-strain plasticity in the limit of vanishing hardening and its
numerical approximation.`` SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis 50.2 (2012):
951-976.
In order to understand the content of these papers a short introduction to
the space of bounded deformation is needed. I will also go into detail in
some of the proofs and compare the notions of a solution and obtained
approximation results given in the mentioned papers.
