Abstract
The mathematical model of Navier-Stokes-Brinkman System is developed for the interaction of a two-dimensional progressive wave train with submerged rectangular porous breakwater. A staggered grid Finite Volume method with a Volume-of-Fluid (VOF) methodology is employed to solve the time dependent incompressible Navier-Stokes-Brinkman system. The validity of the models is verified based on the comparison with the existing experimental results. Having verified the accuracy of a numerical model, the effects of several parameters of a wave and a submerged breakwater are systematically investigated.
